With Overtime Win, 10U Girls Basketball Team Captures Turkey Classic

Playing against top-tier Amateur Athletic Union teams from across the Maryland-Washington, D.C. region, the Green Hornets 10U girls select basketball squad went 4-0 in the Turkey Classic, hosted by Crossover Hoops Inc. in Ellicott City during November.

“What makes this tournament victory impressive is beating teams that compete in basketball year-round in comparison to our seasonal team,” said Green Hornets 10U head coach Andy Rohe.

The team included Mya Trippett, Isabella Clary, Poppy Vetter, Harper Toton, Tess Cassilly, Mackenzie Goller, Riley Ordemann, Lily Rohe and Brynn Stidham.

Alongside Andy Rohe, assistant coaches Danie Stidham and Rich Goller coached the girls and prepared them for tournament play.
