We held two milestone ribbon cuttings in September. The first was for Landmark Roofing in celebration of its 10-year anniversary in business. Not only has Landmark Roofing become an incredibly successful business, but the team also has donated over $250,000 back to community nonprofits.
The second was the 100-year anniversary of Zeskind’s Hardware and Millwork/Park Hardware. We celebrated with Rick Miller, the fourth-generation owner, and his family, friends, staff and customers.
Our annual Driving Force for Business golf tournament was held at the Chartwell Golf and Country Club. It’s always a fun event and a perfect day to enjoy the links.
We held an informative AI Innovation for Small Business conference with other Anne Arundel County chambers, and the event was organized by the Chesapeake Think Tank.
Alcove Event Studio in Severna Park was the host of our Successful Women in Business Group’s “First Cup Club.” We had more than 50 attendees.
Our last cookout of the year was held at The Sheridan at Severna Park. Its chef provided delectable food, and Bruster’s Real Ice Cream brought its truck for dessert. Fresh popcorn was provided by the Negron Farmers Insurance Agency.
We partnered with the Maryland Plastic Surgery Center and PURE MedSpa at the Aesthetic Institute for a health, wellness and beauty fair in Millersville. We had 14 practitioners in a variety of health fields participating.
