Chamber Update

The nip of fall has arrived!  With the first days of “sweater weather,” folks turn their thoughts to preparing for the holiday season. Thanksgiving menu planning, Christmas shopping and holiday parties are great reasons to think about supporting local business.  Here in the greater Severna Park area, we have great gift options, garden centers with all the trimmings, caterers and gourmet foods for every event. Call the Chamber of Commerce for a referral at 410-647-3900 and we’ll help steer you towards businesses that can help make your holiday season a smashing success.

We’d like to share a couple of upcoming dates, so you’ll want to take note. Our annual Holiday Trade Fair at Earleigh Heights Fire Hall will take place on Thursday, November 3. With food samplings, continuous entertainment, and a bevy of exhibitors, it’s a great holiday kick-off.

Last year, the Chamber held its first “Taste and Sip of Greater Severna Park” and that event is scheduled again at Homestead Gardens on November 17. We bring wonderful food and drink, along with holiday entertainment, to the festively decorated Severna Park Homestead Gardens as a fundraiser for community beautification. The event will boast a silent auction and give-away bags for every attendee!

The Community Holiday Tree Lighting will be held on December 2 on Holly Avenue. Details will be forthcoming, so keep an eye out for more information.

The Greater Severna Park Chamber of Commerce recently held its “Driving Force for Business” golf tournament at Chartwell Country Club.
