Happy Holidays from the Greater Severna Park Chamber of Commerce! This is such a special season, and a busy season, too.

The Mission Statement of the Greater Severna Park Chamber of Commerce is to promote and support Greater Severna Park Business in Harmony with the Community. Whether you’re planning a party or out shopping for friends and family, remember to support the businesses in the Greater Severna Park Chamber of Commerce. A vibrant business community is an asset, providing convenience for residents, and jobs and economic viability for the area it serves.
In November we held our first Taste & Sip of Greater Severna Park and it was a huge success. We held the event at the beautifully appointed Homestead Gardens in Severna Park, also utilizing the adjoining Zachary’s Jewelers. This showcase featured 19 providers of fine fare and drink, and included a silent auction. We enjoyed the sounds of the season courtesy of the Annapolis Chorale and performers from Severn School.
Our corporate sponsor was BankAnnapolis. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the following participating establishments for their involvement and support: Annapolis Seafood Market, Annette’s Cakery, The Big Bean, Bill Bateman’s Bistro, Brian Boru, Café Mezzanotte, Chesapeake Make and Take Meals, Corky’s Smokeshack, CupKate’s Event Design, Fiona’s Cakes, Fishpaw’s Marketplace, Garry’s Grill and Catering, Goska’s Liquors, Hella’s Restaurant, Java Divas, Kerri Out Food, Ledo Pizza and Pasta, Victoria’s Fancy Foods and Woodfire.
Plans are already underway for next year’s event!
The Greater Severna Park Chamber of Commerce has several additional events planned for 2010 including our General Membership Luncheon with newly elected 5th District County Councilman Dick Ladd as guest speaker. This event will be held at Carrabba’s Italian Grill on December 9. The GSPCC will also be participating in a Joint Business Exchange Breakfast on December 15 at Four Points by Sheraton BWI Hotel. In addition to the registration fee, attendees are being asked to bring a donation to benefit Sarah’s House.
We will have a Holiday Business Mixer on December 16 at ReNew Therapeutic Massage and The Center for Acupuncture and Wellness (846 Ritchie Hwy. in Severna Park). Proceeds will benefit SPAN, and the event will run from 5:00-7:00pm. The cost is $10 for members and $15 for non-members. We’re looking forward to some great events in 2011.
We wish you and yours a joyous and safe holiday season!
