Arundel FSB Promotes Three Officers

At its annual meeting on January 18, the Arundel Federal Savings Bank board of directors authorized three officer promotions. Charles E. Wagner was appointed vice president of residential lending, Tracy McQuoid was appointed assistant secretary and Melissa Schmidt-Fruits was appointed assistant secretary.

Charles Wagner has been with Arundel Federal for more than two years, but prior to joining the bank, he spent much of his career in residential lending. Over the last year, working with McQuoid, Wagner has worked to build the platform for the bank to initiate different and exciting programs that the bank will seek to introduce later this year.

Tracy McQuoid has been with Arundel Federal Savings Bank for five years, and prior to joining the bank, she held several positions in residential lending. McQuoid and Wagner have worked to increase Arundel Federal’s lending as well as streamlining Arundel Federal’s loan approval processes. In 2016, they successfully implemented one of the largest and most challenging regulatory changes mortgage lenders have had to deal with in several years, namely TRID. TRID is the TILA/RESPA Integrated Disclosure Rule, which combines the Truth in Lending Act and the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act.

Melissa Schmidt-Fruits has been with the bank for about five years. She came aboard as the compliance assistant. Her previous experience was in branch operations and administration. For the last two years, Schmidt-Fruits has focused on critical regulatory compliance mandates and has been designated as Arundel Federal’s Bank secrecy act officer.
