Year-Round Work Continues After Session Ends

Posted

It has been an incredible honor to serve the residents of District 31 during the 2025 legislative session. Every decision I made was in response to conversations, phone calls and emails from constituents, including protecting our small businesses, easing the burden on taxpayers, and improving the quality of our educational system. With your voices guiding my work, I actively challenged legislation that posed risks to our shared values and priorities.

This session brought meaningful recognition — not for personal gain but as a reflection of the strong partnerships we’ve built together. I was deeply honored to receive the Legislative Rookie of the Year award from the Republican caucus, as well as the Perfect Attendance award. I was also nominated and chosen by several colleagues across party lines to represent Maryland as a state director for Women in Government. Additionally, Leadership Anne Arundel named me a 2025 new leader honoree. These acknowledgments reinforce the importance of collaboration and consistent advocacy on your behalf.

Supporting our youth is especially important to me. I was proud to award 126 students in our district with the Delegate Nkongolo Scholarship, an investment in the next generation of leaders from our community. I look forward to celebrating their accomplishments during senior awards nights and graduation ceremonies.

With the legislative session now behind us, I am turning my full attention to listening, learning and connecting even more with the community. Whether it’s a homeowners association meeting, a local event, or a simple conversation, I want to hear directly from you. I have office hours on Tuesdays; if you would like to schedule a virtual or in-person meeting, please reach out to my office.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out. I am here to serve, and together, we are just getting started.
