Members of the Friends of Kinder Farm Park, a nonprofit volunteer organization, are busy planning the park’s biggest fundraising event of the year, the annual Fall Fun Day scheduled for Saturday, October 11, from 10:00am to 3:00pm.
This year, the family event will include hayrides, a pumpkin patch, a straw maze, scarecrow making, face painting, and a variety of food and craft vendors. The historic farmhouse will be open, and the blacksmith shop will operate along with the woodshop and sawmill. The Earleigh Heights Volunteer Fire Company will conduct demonstrations as well.
To make this event a success and raise money for use at Kinder Farm Park, the Friends group needs volunteers — both adults and students. Consider volunteering for a shift or all day. The group needs adults to sell tickets, and students and adults to load and unload hay wagons; help at the scarecrow making station, straw maze and pumpkin patch; and to face paint. To volunteer, go to www.kinderfarmpark.org, navigate to the volunteer tab and scroll to “Fall Fun Day.” Volunteers will be instructed to register on SignUpGenius.
