Vacation Bible Schools Offer Faith-Based Summertime Fun

Churches around town are gearing up to host Vacation Bible School (VBS), where kids can have fun playing games, learning songs, making friends, and learning about biblical stories and principles. Below are a few houses of worship with registration now open for VBS.

 
St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church

Themed “Rainforest Falls: Exploring the Nature of God,” this VBS will help root children in a relationship with God through Bible storytelling, saint adventures, recreation, music, arts and crafts, and snacks daily. The event is for children in prekindergarten through fifth grade and will run mornings, 9:30am-11:30am.

Asbury Town Neck United Methodist Church

Centered around a positive theme each year, this VBS features a daily routine of devotionals, Bible lessons, arts and crafts, sports, games and a meal. The week will conclude with a celebration for the whole family. Kids ages 4 to 18 are welcome, and VBS will run evenings from 5:30pm-8:00pm.

Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church
July 6-10 and 13-17

Woods Church will host multiple “Art & The Bible” camps over two weeks this summer. The first is themed “I Am Who I Am: God in Scripture and the Arts” and will run July 6-10 for kids in kindergarten through fifth grade from 9:00am-4:00pm. From July 13-17, children of the same ages can attend “Be Strong and Courageous,” themed around Joshua 1:9, also from 9:00am-4:00pm. “VBS Express” will run from 4:00pm-6:00pm and is open to 2-year-olds through fifth-graders.

Severna Park Baptist Church

Kids in kindergarten through fifth grade can look forward to a daily opening rally before splitting into age stations involving crafts, recreation, Bible study, music and more with snacks provided. VBS will run daily from 9:00am-12:15pm.

Trinity Bible Church

Crafts, music, Bible stories and games will make for a week of evening fun as kids in kindergarten through fifth grade attend this VBS, running from 6:00pm-8:30pm. Children will explore the nature of God through a “Rainforest Falls” theme.

Severna Park United Methodist Church

Kids who are 4 years old through entering fifth grade can explore how the Psalms illustrate that no matter the day, God hears us, loves us and is with us – through joy, laughter, worry or sadness. Attendees will discover how the writers of scripture felt the same emotions that they do. VBS will take place from 1:00pm-4:00pm.

St. Martin’s-in-the-Field Episcopal Church

“Snowball Mountain Challenge” will help kids in kindergarten through fifth grade find their strength in God, with half-day (8:30am-12:30pm) and full-day (8:30am-3:30pm) options available. At this cool summer adventure, children will experience a week of Bible stories, crafts, music, science and games, exploring what it means to trust God and find strength through faith.

Gloria Dei! Lutheran Church

Christ Our Anchor Presbyterian Church

Kids ages 4 years old through fifth grade are invited to a "Knights of North Castle" themed VBS that will run Monday through Friday from 9:30am-noon. Register using the email above.
