Toast Of Severna Park Toastmasters Host Open House On April 7

Toast of Severna Park Toastmasters invites individuals to its open house to meet members and watch its vice president of education, Freeman Bagnall, and vice president of membership, Shea Lynch, as they talk about the importance of communication skills in today’s world. A special guest may be announced soon.

“Toast of Severna Park Toastmasters provides a supportive and positive environment where members have the opportunity to develop their communication and leadership skills,” said Geraldine Cvetic, club president for Toastmasters.

Special guest speaker Shawn Brumfield will be featured during the meeting. Additionally, Blake Wilson and Diana Larmore will deliver prepared speeches. The meeting will also include Table Topics (impromptu speeches) and evaluations.

The open house will include light refreshments for members and prospective members to enjoy beginning at 6:00pm.

Table Topics will be an opportunity for attendees to participate on a voluntary basis with brief impromptu responses to a prompt. “Table Topics are one of my favorite parts of the meeting,” Cvetic said. “This is where guests and members are randomly selected to speak for one to two minutes. It helps you think and speak clearly on your feet.”
