Save the date for Saturday, May 2, for the Greater Severna Park and Arnold Chamber of Commerce’s Spring Local Fun Festival. This annual celebration of supporting local businesses will feature a health and wellness expo, food, live entertainment, music and more, and entry is free.

As part of the Severna Park Voice’s Nonprofit of the Year initiative, through which we are supporting the Millersville-based Walk the Walk Foundation (WTWF) for all of 2026, the Voice will host a diaper drive in partnership with WTWF at the Spring Local Fun Festival. Look for the WTWF tent and Severna Park Voice banner.

Throughout the month of May, WTWF will host its Anne Arundel County’s Largest Diaper Drive event, and diaper donations made at the Spring Local Fun Festival will go toward that effort. WTWF is part of the National Diaper Bank Network and supports 25 diaper distribution partners throughout the county, helping thousands of families in need. In the U.S., approximately one in two families with young children struggles to afford diapers.

Diaper donations of all sizes are appreciated, but the greatest need is for diapers sizes 4 to 6.

Can’t make it to the event on May 2? Spring Arbor of Severna Park will also serve as a donation drop-off location seven days a week, 8:00am-6:00pm, now through the end of May. Other nearby drop-off locations include BD Provisions, Thrive Gym and Rolly Pollies of Severna Park.

The Spring Local Fun Festival will run from 11:00am-2:30pm at the Park Plaza shopping center in Severna Park. For more information about the event, go to www.gspacc.com. To learn more about WTWF, go to www.wtwf.org.
