Riverdale Reindeer Collecting Items For Holidays

The Riverdale Reindeer will ride again. Youth from the Riverdale community will gather on Saturday at 1:00pm to collect toys, canned goods and hygiene items for the Caring Cupboard and Walk the Walk Foundation.

Santa will appear as the group collects items from their neighborhood to bring the holidays to families in need.

The neighborhood tradition started in 2004 and provides plenty of generosity each year.

“It’s absurd,” said Betty Colangelo, whose family organizes the event along with the Zenker and Evans families. “It can fill my one-car garage. People are beyond generous.”
