Question Of The Month: St. Martin’s-In-The-Field Episcopal School

Posted

Each month, the Severna Park Voice poses a question to a local fifth-grade class. This month, students from Ms. Everette’s class at St. Martin’s-in-the-Field Episcopal School answered the question:

“If you could visit any historical time period, when and where would you go?”

I would travel to 1999 before Y2K to see how people were preparing for it.
Abigail Baldwin

I would go back to the Roaring Twenties because in that time, better technology was made and sold for much cheaper compared to modern day.
Emmett Bolinksy

I would like to be at the place where “Starry Night” was made because I like art and the “Starry Night” is my favorite painting ever.
Cormac Dickson

I would go to 1999 because that’s when people thought computers were going to stop working on January 1, 2000. I think it would be cool to find out the ways people thought it was going to happen.
Audrey Hammer

I would go to France in 1600 B.C.E. so I could see the relationship between our countries at the time.
Tommy Jeng

I would like to go back to colonial times because I like to fish, and I would like to face survival challenges and travel to different places like the colonists did.
Ethan Jung

I would go back to Bozeman, Montana, in 2015 to see what it was like 10 years ago and possibly find treasure from the Treasure State when everyone hadn’t already taken it.
Harper Kohlenstein

I would want to be in World War I because I want to learn more about what life was like at that time.
Wesley Larsen

I would want to go back to World War I because I’d like to see how different technology was then versus now and help my country.
Karim Mahfoudi

I would go back to when Harriet Tubman helped the enslaved escape slavery and ask her why she helped people escape.
Gabriela Mattia-Uribe

I would want to visit the World Wars to see what caused the wars, what they used to survive, how they built their battlefields, and the weapons they used.
Jonah Queen

I would go back to colonial times because I want to know what life was like when we didn’t have phones, computers or iPads. I would also like to learn how to hunt and make fishing rods and start my own colony.
Thomas Ritterpusch

I would go back in time to when the first colonists came to America so I could build my life how I wanted it to be.
Darcy Sullivan

I want to go back to World War II because I would want to see the machinery and the factories because it is cool that Buick was making tanks when they are a car brand.
Owen Villari

I would like to go back to ancient Egypt because I want to know how they made the pyramids.
Emily White

I would travel to the pyramids when they were first made to see how they were created and what everything looked like at that time.
