Pickin 4 Troops Raises Funds For Vets

To raise money for veterans’ programs, Broadneck Elks Lodge welcomed the community to a Pickin 4 Troops fundraiser on August 9. Attendees were treated to a pig roast, music by the bluegrass band Hard Times, cornhole, raffles and a live auction. Several Gold Star families — those who had a family member die during active-duty military service — attended the event. Proceeds will support the Elks’ Welcome Home program, Army of Hope and Fisher House.
