National Night Out Set For August 4

Across the country, National Night Out (NNO) takes place on the first Tuesday in August each year and is designed to enhance the “relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community.”

Locally, members of the Anne Arundel County Police Department Eastern District invite the community to join them for NNO on August 4 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Kinder Farm Park in Millersville.

The rain-or-shine event is free to the public and will offer games for kids, contests, community booths, demonstrations, police and fire vehicles on display, snacks, beverages and other entertainment throughout the evening.

The Eastern District NNO website states, “The best way to build a safer community is to know your neighbors and your surroundings. National Night Out triumphs over a culture that isolates us from each other and allows us to rediscover our own communities.”
