Garry’s Grill
Open seven days a week at 7:00am

A longtime mainstay in Severna Park, Garry’s Grill offers a full breakfast menu spanning the gamut of southern favorites including country fried steak and shrimp and grits, to local flavors like the Eastern Shore skillet and Maryland flatbread, both featuring lump crab meat. For those with a sweet tooth, Garry’s offers waffles, flapjacks and French toast dressed many ways, along with pumpkin beignets. Benedicts, omelets and healthier options round out the menu.

The Breakfast Shoppe

Another longstanding favorite, The Breakfast Shoppe is sure to satisfy appetites large and small with chicken and waffles smothered in house-made chicken gravy; a Monte Cristo featuring a battered and deep-fried pretzel roll with ham, Swiss cheese and bacon; breakfast tacos; chipped beef; steak and eggs, and more. Kids under 5 eat free and children 13 and under eat at a discount during the Sunday brunch buffet at O’Loughlin’s Restaurant in Arnold. Hand-carved roast beef, an omelet station and Maryland crab soup are offered in addition to an array of eggs, potatoes, chipped beef and biscuits, fruit, bacon, sausage, waffles and more.

Steps away from the B&A Trail, Crepes in the Park can please any palette with its many sweet and savory handheld crepes. Go the classic route with meat, eggs and cheese, or try something unique like a Reuben or pulled pork crepe. Sweet crepes include fruit-centered options like apple pie or bananas foster, as well as dessert-like offerings such as peanut butter cup, s’mores, or cookies and cream.

Naval Bagels
Monday-Saturday, open at 6:00am; Sunday, open at 7:00am

A longtime Annapolis staple, Naval Bagels has a location in Arnold that dishes up roughly 15 egg-based breakfast sandwiches – including the Annapolitan, which is layered with jumbo lump crab, scrambled egg, cheddar cheese and Old Bay – as well as a selection of over a dozen bagel flavors that can be paired with various spreads, and a host of lunch options, too.

Rise Up Coffee Roasters
Open seven days a week at 6:00am

Based on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, Rise Up Coffee Roasters has 13 locations – including two in Arnold and Severna Park – and is known for its freshly roasted coffee and extensive lineup of espresso drinks and frozen beverages. But, it also serves a full made-to-order breakfast menu including biscuit sandwiches, a selection of burritos, avocado toast, acai bowls and more, as well as assorted pastries.

The Big Bean
Monday-Friday, open at 6:30am; Saturday-Sunday, open at 7:00am

Breakfast sandwiches and burritos are new additions to the menu at The Big Bean, which is in the heart of Severna Park and now has cafes in Millersville and Annapolis as well. The shop is known for its large selection of roasted coffees, espresso-based and frozen beverages, and creative seasonal lattes. The Big Bean also offers baked goods daily, including treats such as cake pops and cookies.

Uber Bagels & Deli
Monday-Saturday, open at 6:00am; Sunday, open at 7:00am

One of Maryland-based Uber Bagels & Deli’s three locations is in Severna Park. For indecisive folks, selecting from among the more than 20 bagel flavors, 12-plus cream cheeses, or the long list of hearty breakfast sandwiches may prove difficult, but Uber Bagels & Deli offers something for just about everyone. Gluten-free bagels are available, and breakfast and lunch sandwiches can be prepared on alternative bread options as well.

SOMETHING DIFFERENT

For anyone looking to break up their breakfast routine, these businesses are dishing up something a little different in the morning.

B&A Acai Bowls
Open daily at 8:00am

A popular stop along the trail, B&A Acai Bowls serves a variety of blended bowls beyond acai, including pitaya bowls, coconut bowls aptly named “Magothy” and “Severn,” green-based bowls, kids’ bowls and seasonal offerings. The popular Ritchie bowl features an acai base, granola, Nutella, peanut butter, banana and strawberry. B&A Acai Bowls also offers smoothies, toasts and a lineup of espresso beverages.

Señor Chile
Open daily at 10:00am

Señor Chile is a popular Mexican spot for lunch and dinner, but it offers an enticing breakfast menu as well. At both the Severna Park and Arnold locations, Señor Chile serves more than a dozen breakfast platters including a quesadilla with cheese, bacon, chorizo and eggs; egg and chorizo tacos paired with beans and fried plantains; an omelet with beef barbacoa, eggs, avocado, pico de gallo and more; pancakes, and avocado toast.
