Green Hornets To Hold Softball Tryouts Throughout August

Green Hornets Select Softball will hold tryouts for its 14U, 16U and 18U teams in August (see dates below). The organization is looking for players with a desire for growth and commitment to excellence. Fundamentals and high-level coaching will be staples of the 14U and 16U teams, while 18U will look to play high A/B level and collegiate showcases to get athletes into the recruiting process.

The Greater Severna Park Athletic Association has coaches who have played and coached as high as NCAA Division 1 collegiate and gold levels. These coaches also have experience in all facets of the game: pitching, catching, hitting, slapping, bunting, infield and outfield training, conditioning/speed training, and recruiting.

Head coaches for 18U and 16U have no kids on the team and all players selected will be expected to work hard on and off the field.
