For aspiring thespians ages 12-18, three weeks of production summer camp at Children’s Theatre of Annapolis (CTA) will culminate mid-August as they take the stage for two showings of “Dare to Dream Jr.,” a Disney musical review.
A mix of timeless classics, contemporary songs and new medleys, the production celebrates a century of Disney storytelling, with songs from “The Princess and the Frog,” “Coco,” “Encanto” and “Frozen II.”
“Dare to Dream Jr.” follows an eager group of trainees on their first day at a fictional Walt Disney Imagineering Studio. The group explores the power of dreams to unite, inspire and make anything possible.
The CTA production will invite audiences into a theatrical celebration of music, creativity and the dreams that live inside all of us. Showtimes are 6:30pm on Friday, August 14, and 10:00am on Saturday, August 15. The show is appropriate for all ages and will run for 75 minutes with a 15-minute intermission.
