Board Of Education Adopts Phase 2 Redistricting Plan That Shifts Approximately 750 Students

The Board of Education of Anne Arundel County gave final approval to a Phase 2 redistricting plan that will see approximately 750 Anne Arundel County Public Schools (AACPS) students shift schools, concluding a process that began in February.

At a November 19 meeting, board members adopted revised recommendation three, which it created on November 5 and held public hearings on November 13 and 17. The plan will take effect in the 2026-2027 school year.

Under the new plan, 54 students will be redistricted from Folger McKinsey Elementary to Severna Park Elementary, and 88 students will be redistricted from Belvedere Elementary to Arnold Elementary.
