About Anne Arundel County Professional Fire Fighters/IAFF Local 1563

The Mission of the IAFF Local 1563 is to affirm public goodwill of the Anne Arundel County Professional Fire Fighters in order to support members in providing the best level of service for the citizens of Anne Arundel County. Headquartered in Millersville, the IAFF Local 1563 represents nearly 900 full-time professional firefighters and paramedics who serve and protect the 568,000 citizens of Anne Arundel County.

The Anne Arundel County Professional Fire Fighters have launched the Anne Arundel County Professional Fire Fighters Charitable Foundation, which will provide emergency assistance and charitable support to the victims of fire, disasters and tragedies in Anne Arundel County as well as support for firefighters who are injured or who perish while serving the community.

“We’ve been doing this great work all along,” said IAFF Local 1563 President Joe Addivinola. “We are excited to have this new vehicle to help us raise awareness and further our work in support of the Anne Arundel County community.”

The Anne Arundel County Professional Fire Fighters announced the launch of their charitable foundation at their sold-out annual Italian dinner, where funds are raised in support of the Anne Arundel County Professional Fire Fighters Widows and Orphans Fund.
