Youth Dive Into A New Sport During Round Bay Volleyball Camp

Posted

Severna Park High School senior Annalou Marriner is among the student-athletes affected by COVID-related cancelations, but she isn’t ready to give up on volleyball.

A resident of Round Bay, she started a neighborhood camp to teach kids the fundamentals of volleyball. And for many of the players, it’s their first introduction to the sport.

The camp runs on Thursdays for four weeks from September 10 to October 1. Camp is recommended for ages 8 and up.

“I live in this community and we do swim team and I’m a swim coach, so all the kids in the neighborhood I get close with,” Marriner said. “So it’s something fun to do in the fall, to still be outside and play volleyball even though it got postponed.”

Registration is $40 per player. To ask questions or RSVP, contact Annalou Marriner at 410-215-3440.
