Woods Church To Delight Audiences With Merry Music

From November through December, Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church has the following music events scheduled to share joy with the community.

Opus 1: An Evening of Debuts - Woods Music Benefit Concert
November 12 at 7:00pm

Join Woods Church for an evening of piano and organ solos and duets from the Rev. Randy Bush and Ted Markle, in addition to new works by local artists. Composers include Andy Rollins, David and Elysia Merrill, Alan Becknell, Sarah Kent, Josh Huff and Drew Sharpe. This is a free concert with all donations going to support the Woods Church music department.

Light Has Come - A Celtic Christmas Celebration
December 9-10 at 7:00pm

Celebrate the Christmas season with the choirs of Woods Church as they join forces with the Teelin Irish Dance Company and the Elysian Dance Theater Company. The concert will also include a full orchestra with traditional Irish instruments, guest soloists and beautiful lighting. As they say in Ireland, Nollaig shona dhaoibh! - A Merry Christmas to you!

Messiah Sing-Along
December 17 at 3:00pm

Sing Part I of Handel’s Messiah on Saturday, December 17, at 3:00pm. The evening will be led by a string quartet, Woods organist Ted Markle and soloists from the Baltimore/Washington area. This is a free event. This event will not be livestreamed.
