U14 Galaxy Girls Have Success In League, Tournaments

The Severna Park Galaxy U14 girls soccer team capped its fall season with a run to the top of the table in their division of the Fallston Cup in November.

It was the fourth strong tournament finish for the Galaxy, which played well at the Harford FC United Kick-Off and the August Cup at the beginning of the season and the Virginia Beach FC tournament over Columbus Day weekend.

The team of Ellie Ballard, Natalie Boera, Jocelyn DeHenzel, Audrey Denton, Taylor Denton, Arianna Eggleston, Kaylee Gerber, CJ Kelliher, Hannah McLaughlin, Natalie Pace, Riley Panuska, Christina Price, Kendall Scalley, Rowan Schneider, Jordan Shriner, Lena Slade and Annabelle Wellschlager also finished in third place in Division 3 of the National Capital Soccer League to earn promotion to Division 2 for the spring season.

“The commitment put forth each and every day by these young women to better themselves is amazing,” said head coach Larry Denton, who coached the team with assistants Brad Schneider, Corey Shriner, Rob Panuska and John DeHenzel. “I am so proud of them and very excited to follow their incredible successes on and off the pitch in the years ahead.”
