U11 2010 Girls Go Undefeated

Green Hornets’ U11 girls select soccer team, the Panthers, went 10-0 during the regular fall 2020 season. The girls played in Division I of the Anne Arundel Youth Soccer Association league and were led by head coach Jared Calish, assistant coaches Heather Symons and Keith Cormier, and team manager Megan Cormier.

The team featured a powerhouse offense that scored 49 goals during the 10 regular season games. The offensive unit included Katelyn Cormier, Adelyn Doss, Delaney Jones, Paige Klima, Tessa Patel, Allie Patrick and Rebecca Sullivan. These girls developed passing lanes, used the entire field and worked as one with the defensive unit.

The defense was stellar this season as well. They had four shutouts. Goalies Sabrina Calish, Katie Ewing and Claire Sweeney held four additional opponents to only one goal. Their defensive support team included Mary Beisler, Sophia Elfenbein, Edna McConkey and Olivia Strohecker. The goalies and defense were great at limiting the opponents’ shots on goal.
