The Maryland chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is coming to Anne Arundel County with two installments of the presentation Talk Saves Lives. The first, set for Wednesday, April 24, is held in collaboration with the LGBTQ Rights huddle of WISE (Women Indivisible Strong Effective) and Anne Arundel Community College’s social justice collaborative. The community-based presentation will focus specifically on suicide prevention in the LGBTQ community. It will begin at 6:00pm in Room 107 of the CALT building on AACC’s Arnold campus.

The second Talk Saves Lives will be held in collaboration with St. Martin’s-in-the-Field Episcopal Church and Burgers & Bands for Suicide Prevention, and is set for Tuesday, April 30, from 7:00pm to 8:00pm. This presentation will cover the general scope of suicide prevention, the research on prevention and what people can do to fight suicide.

Both events are free and open to the public.
