St. Patrick’s Day Events Around Town

March 17 is right around the corner, and many local restaurants and bars are embracing the luck of the Irish. Check out this list of local St. Patrick’s Day events.

Brian Boru Irish Restaurant and Pub

489 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park

Every day feels like St. Patrick’s Day at Brian Boru, especially in March. The establishment is hosting its annual Guinness etching March 10 at 6:00pm featuring live music from the Cypress Creek Band. Starting at 9:30am, there will constant entertainment on March 17. The O’Riain Academy Irish Dancers are performing at 5:00pm and live music will be provided throughout the day.

Downtown Annapolis Parade

On March 10 at 1:00pm, the streets of Downtown Annapolis will be flooded with green. The parade will begin at West Gate Circle, follow West Street to Main Street, and end at City Dock. There will be a family-friendly after-party at Susan Campbell Park from 3:00pm to 7:00pm with face painting, food and libations. Live music will be provided by We’re NOT Handsome and the Dublin 5.

O’Loughlin’s Restaurant & Pub

There is no better way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day than to eat authentic Irish food. O’Loughlin’s is serving a traditional Irish menu complete with shepherd’s pie, Irish stew, corn beef and cabbage, and fish and chips. There will be giveaways, bagpipes and green beer.

Park Tavern will start celebrating on March 14 with week-long deals on Irish drafts and food. On March 17 at 6:00pm, Greg Viola from the Mad Planet Band will play an acoustic set of Celtic, rock and reggae music.

Union Jack’s of Annapolis

Though it is traditionally an English-style pub, Union Jack’s is embracing St. Patrick’s Day. Its three days of shenanigans event will kick off on March 13 at 6:00pm with The Fighting Jamesons and The Amish Outlaws. On March 14 at 3:00pm, Here’s To The Night and Ballyhoo will perform. On March 17 from 9:00am to 11:00am, there will be free breakfast, and the Dublin 5 will perform at 6:00pm.

Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall

Woods Church is hosting a St. Patrick’s Day dinner on March 13 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Corn beef, cabbage, carrots and potatoes will be served while the Cypress Creek Band plays. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children.
