Shoptoberfest Brings Spooky Fun To The Park

The Greater Severna Park and Arnold Chamber of Commerce put a new spin on the Shop Local Festival by presenting the event as Shoptoberfest this year on October 23. Held in the Park Plaza shopping center, Shoptoberfest invited local stores and businesses like The Cottage and Ledo Pizza to set up tables, show off their wares and give away copious amounts of candy to kids. Halloween was celebrated early as a costume contest was held for kids and dogs. To finish off the event, Jing Ying Institute of Kung Fu & Tai Chi gave a demonstration to the crowd.
