Landmark Roofing

I was awakened during the night with water dripping on my head. Having experienced this a few years ago, I felt sure it was caused by a defective collar that surrounds the bathroom vent pipe on the roof.

Early the next morning, I called the plumber I had recently used. I was told they did not do roof repairs. Next, I tried my handyman, who, because of his age, declined. Knowing that roofing companies do not care for small jobs, I was at a loss as to what to do next.

I happened to pass Landmark Roofing here in Severna Park, so I stopped in seeking advice. I met Rob Calhan, co-owner and president of sales. He acknowledged they do not take small jobs, but he did ask about the problem. He agreed that the collar had failed. Then, out of pure compassion for a senior in distress, he said he would send someone to the house before the next rain. Three days later, a Landmark truck was in my driveway. Two men got out, and as I talked with one, the second was on the roof and quickly replaced the failed collar plus one for the second bath.

I believe Rob’s act of kindness reflects the values of a company that cares for our community.
