Landmark Roofing Seeks Nominations For Roof Giveaway

Posted

Each year, Landmark Roofing partners with GAF and Superior Distribution to provide a new roof, for free, to a local family in need.

The Landmark team strongly believes in giving back and supporting the community that keeps them in business. If you know a local family in need that would benefit from a new roof, you can nominate them anonymously using the contact form at www.roofingbylandmark.com/2023-roof-giveaway. Nominations are being accepted through January 31.

Meet Past Winners

The Kaltz Family — 2022

The Kaltz family had a few rough years after the diagnosis of their children with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disorder and Amber Kaltz’s breast cancer diagnosis. Landmark Roofing was happy to provide the Kaltz’s with a new roof, skylights and gutters.

Virginia Fingland — 2021

Fingland was nominated by her neighbor and friend, Devorah. In August 2020, Fingland was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 35 and had to quickly undergo chemotherapy, surgery and radiation. She is a talented local hair stylist, however, due to her treatments and side effects, she was forced to drop most of her hours.

The Landmark Team gifted Fingland with new windows, doors and gutters, as a reminder she is supported by her entire community.

Mimi Canterbury — 2020

Canterbury was nominated by her neighbors, Randy Hopkins and John and Annie Judge, who describe Canterbury as “incredibly vibrant, hopeful, and filled with gratitude.” They shared the tragedy Canterbury and her family had suffered in the last year, and Landmark Roofing was grateful to be able to help.

Her husband died unexpectedly, leaving her to raise her 13-year-old daughter and 10-year-old son on her own. Within the same year, Canterbury lost her brother-in-law and her mother-in-law. However, through all this tragedy, she never lost her spirit. Hopkins shared that Mimi “wakes up every day smiling and blowing kisses at the neighbors. At a time when she is forced to be the rock for her kids as they grieve, she does it with grace and perseverance.
