Racquetball Tour Will Compete In Christmas Classic LPRT Pro-Am At SPRFC

The Ladies Professional Racquetball Tour (LPRT) will travel to Maryland this coming weekend to battle in pro singles and pro doubles. They will compete for a purse totaling $18,000. Severna Park Racquetball and Fitness Club (SPRFC) will host the lady pros along with over 100 amateur players, offering a variety of skill and age divisions.

The Ladies Professional Racquetball Tour is the event driven, governing body of a growing number of the highest-level professional women players in the world. These elite women athletes represent over a dozen countries including the United States, Mexico, Chile, Canada, Colombia, Ireland and Japan. The current No. 1 player on the LPRT is Paola Longoria of Monterrey, Mexico. Longoria has 10 U.S. Open titles and she finished No. 1 on tour 10 times. She has had winning streaks unbelievable for most sports. The top U.S. player on tour is Rhonda Rajsich of Phoenix, Arizona. Rajsich has four U.S. Open titles and a record 11 U.S. Nationals titles. Kelani Lawrence, pro player from Virginia Beach, is a current member of Team USA Racquetball and recently earned the silver medal at the World Games in Guatemala in early December 2021.

Severna Park Racquetball and Fitness Club is located at 8514 Veterans Highway, Millersville, Maryland.
