Student-Athletes Sign College Letters Of Intent

Severna Park and Broadneck student-athletes made their dreams official on November 14 by signing National Letters of Intent to play college sports.

Signing-day ceremonies were held at both campuses, and the student-athletes celebrated with family, coaches, teachers and friends.

Both the Bruins’ and Falcons’ list of college-bound athletes came from a variety of sports. For the Falcons, five girls lacrosse players signed their letters of intent: Hailey Blachley (Jacksonville), Hunter Chadwick (Northwestern), Alex Miller (Johns Hopkins), Rachel Spilker (Penn State) and Kayla Minton (Longwood). Also signing were softball standout Campbell Kline (Maryland) and boys lacrosse player Shane Carr (Michigan). Ronni Binstock signed to compete in gymnastics on a full scholarship at Western Michigan University.

The Bruins’ celebrated a class of 15 student-athletes making their college commitments. Broadneck girls soccer players signing their letters included Talia Gabarra (Central Florida), Anna Moyer (Frostburg State) and Caleigh Fletcher (Dickinson). Bruin field hockey signees included Megan Munley (Maryland), Emily Eckels, (New Hampshire) and Sophia Hartman (Lehigh). Broadneck boys lacrosse players signing letters included Keegan Houser (Naval Academy), Vinny Facciponti (York) and Jack Bragaw (Coast Guard Academy). Girls lacrosse players Olivia Abe (Wofford) and Kaala Puglisi, (Florida) made their commitments, as did Broadneck football players Ethon Williams (Boston College) and Caelan Shepard (Buffalo), Bruin baseball player Nick Gatton (Stevenson) and softball player Ryan Finazzo (Converse College).
