Frame & Frame Is There For Area Residents In Need

For 65 years, Frame & Frame LLC has been protecting and educating the Pasadena community.

Vernon Frame founded the firm in 1954, and he ran it out of his house on Margaret Avenue.

“At that point in time, he was one of the first Pasadena attorneys. They were the trailblazers in Pasadena,” said attorney Tara Frame, Vernon’s daughter who now runs the firm. “Everybody went to my dad. Any legal need in Pasadena families, they went to him.”

Recently, Frame & Frame has moved away from being a general practice to honing in on specific areas. When Erica Redmond joined the firm in 2015 as its second attorney, she and Frame split their areas of focus. Frame specializes in estate planning, elder law, workers’ compensation, and probate and estate administration. Redmond handles family law, guardianship and personal injury.

“We really focus on the areas that we enjoy and excel at,” Frame said.

Now, Frame is noticing that she’s representing the children and grandchildren of her father’s clients.

“People say, ‘Mr. Frame represented me when I was 18 years old’ or ‘He was always our family attorney,’” Frame said. “People come back to us.”

Customer loyalty is one of Frame’s favorite things about her Pasadena clients.

“We’re there when they need us,” Frame said. “Everybody is pretty much connected in one way or another. A lot of people stay close to home, and it’s a close-knit community.”

To give back to the community, Frame provides as many educational opportunities as possible. She gives seminars about estate planning at local senior living centers, she writes columns for the Pasadena Voice, and, as an active member of the Pasadena Business Association, Frame speaks at local businesses when they ask.

“I hate to see when local people get taken advantage of just because they didn’t have proper legal advice or legal representation or someone to help them out,” Frame said. “It’s important to make sure that people have access to legal services.”

To help educate the next generation of legal experts, Frame works with the Lake Shore-Severna Park Rotary to award the Vernon G. Frame Scholarship each year to a Chesapeake High School student and a Northeast High School student. The scholarship is for students who intend to join the legal field, whether it’s as a lawyer, a paralegal or in law enforcement. A former recipient of the scholarship returned and spent two years as a clerk at Frame & Frame.

“Our goal is to really educate and protect the community,” Frame said.
