13U Galaxy Finish Atop NCSL Division

The Severna Park 13U Galaxy girls soccer team had a successful fall season playing in the always competitive National Capital Soccer League.

The Galaxy went undefeated at 5-0-4 to finish atop the 11-team NCSL Division 4 and earn promotion to NCSL Division 3 for the spring 2019 season.

In addition to the team’s league finish, Galaxy were tournament finalists in Columbia Fall Classic, notching a highlight victory over A3 in the semifinals on a last-second game-winning goal.

The team of Hannah McLaughlin, Jordan Shriner, Annabelle Wellschlager, Rowan Schneider, Riley Panuska, Sarah Kelly, Natalie Pace, Lena Slade, Arianna Eggleston, Kaylee Gerber, Taylor Denton, CJ Kelliher, Audrey Denton, Kendall Scalley, Ellie Ballard and Eleni Puzas was coached by Larry Denton.

“Their team-first attitude, work ethic and dedication are unmatched,” said coach Denton of the Galaxy.

Severna Park’s Galaxy will play outdoor soccer through the winter in preparation for spring NCSL play and several tournaments in 2019.
