The Severna Park Green Hornets 15-18 co-op baseball team went 13-2-1 to finish atop the league.

The team of Jacob Birmingham, Connor Brandeen, Brett Braszo, Tim Karns, Nick Brocchetta, Evan Mobley, Ryan McCoy, Jared Wall, Augie Milewski, Max Johnson, Wayne Flohr, Ben Taylor, Robert Jackson and Jack Howard combined for a team batting average of .400 and reeled off 13 consecutive wins after starting the season with a loss and a tie. During that stretch, the team won four games on walk-offs, twice winning after being behind by over five runs. Wall had two home runs during the season, and the hard-throwing pitching staff of McCoy, Brandeen, Milewski, Taylor and Karns helped the team throughout its win streak. Mobley was a speedster on the base paths, three times stealing home plate.

“I was particularly proud how these seniors rose to the occasion while being down by several runs in many of the games, then put their offense in overdrive,” said coach Doug Brandeen, who coached the team with Kevin Wall. “I am very proud of the seniors who showed leadership, attention to detail and tenacity this season.  I am humbly honored to have been their coach for the past three years.”
