Falcons Fall Short Against Old Mill

The Severna Park Falcons football team fell 33-14 on October 29 to Old Mill high School, ending a four-game winning streak on the road.

Old Mill burst out of the gates behind a powerful running attack to secure a 13-0 lead in the first half, but the Falcons werent going to go down quietly. A five-yard touchdown run by Dan Mazzone and the conversion kick by Avery Littlejohn got the Falcons on the board, and cut the deficit to 13-7.s lead was turned into 19-14 deficit.

After forcing Old Mill to punt, the Falcons capped a nice drive when Dalton Wain hauled in a 20-yard touchdown reception, and the PAT pushed the Falcons in front, 14-13.

But it was the last time the Falcons would score as Old Mill thwarted what appeared to be another touchdown drive with an interception at their goal line that was returned 95 yards for a touchdown just before intermission. Just like that, Severna Park

Despite a blocked punt that gave the Falcons excellent field position and continued strong play on the defensive side of the ball by Severna Park, Old Mill charged further ahead with two more unanswered touchdowns to account for the final margin.

Now 4-5, Severna Park will look for another victory in their last regular season game of the season against Northeast at home on November 5.
