Indian Creek Middle School Presents Willy Wonka, Featuring Severna Park Students

Indian Creek School Middle School is proud to present the musical "Willy Wonka," on the stage of Alumni Hall at its Evergreen Campus in Crownsville. This delightful story, based on Roald Dahl’s "Charlie and The Chocolate Factory," follows the world-famous candy man as he searches for an heir with golden tickets.

Caleigh Plack and Erica Argilan play the part Charlie Bucket. Cameron Johnson and Sam Creel share the role of candy man Willy Wonka. Severna Park’s Chris Barry plays Alfie and is joined by other Park residents Charlie Marculewicz and Marrac Miller, as a dancer and Oompa Loompa, respectively.

Produced by music teacher Greg Bush, Willy Wonka features the songs and lyrics of Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley, who penned such unforgettable songs as The Candy Man and Pure Imagination. The musical was adapted for stage by Leslie Bricusse and Tim McDonald. Jill Woodward of Severna Park, a member of the ICS music faculty, directs the musical performances with stage direction by Aaron Kleffman and choreography by Anne Crossman Engles, also faculty members. Middle School musicals are known for their incredible performances, vibrant costumes, live orchestra, and imaginative staging.

Join us for a few hours that surely will delight children and adults alike. Performances are Wednesday, February 29, at 7:00pm, Thursday, March 1, at 7:00pm (Indian Creek Alumni Night), Saturday, March 3, at 2:00pm, and Sunday, March 4, at 3:00pm.
