Win A Trip To Quebec, And Help A Nepalese School Founded By A Local Marylander
July 25, 2012
The Maryland non-profit organization Grass Roots Education Nepal is holding a raffle for a trip for two to Quebec City, Canada. The funds raised will benefit the Mikey Medium English School in Nepal, a cause that is close to the hearts of the local community, as South River alumnus, Mikey Church, is the founder of the school.
Anyone can enter the raffle. Simply go to the link listed below and scroll down to the open box beneath "Name on Tickets?" Type in the name that the raffle tickets are to be issued to and click "Buy Now." Each ticket costs $10, and the raffle will be limited to 1,000 tickets. Those entering the raffle should note that the trip requires a passport.
Round trip airfare between BWI and Quebec City is provided. The trip is three days and two nights. Housing accommodations for the two nights will be at Le Chateau Frontenac hotel. A $100 gift certificate to Le Chateau Frontenac will also be presented to the winner, and can be used for room service or any meal served at the hotel. A choice of tour will be given as well. The winner can view the city of Quebec on a boat ride, carriage ride or walking tour.
If the winner prefers, they may choose to receive $1,500 in cash in lieu of the trip. However, this trip is a rare opportunity to see the historic city of Quebec, while also taking a small part in funding the education of rural Nepal. Either way, this opportunity is a win-win!
The raffle is only available for a limited time.
