Last Minute New Year’s Eve Options

Still trying to think of something to do to ring in 2013? Don't worry; there are still lots of choices for ways to welcome in the new year locally! Please remember to call first to find out if they're sold out before you go, and ask if reservations are necessary.

Cafe Mezzanotte, Severna Park

Severna Park Lanes, Severna Park

Bowling is a great way to welcome in 2013! On December 31, have a two-hour family party from 4:30-6:30pm or 7:00-9:00pm. There will be a Gala from 9:30pm-2:00am, with unlimited bowling, use of bowling shoes, party favors, hats and noisemakers. Call for reservations or details: 410-647-0811. Space is limited.


Bamboo Bernies, Pasadena

The Band Pasadena will be performing on New Year's Eve at Bamboo Bernie's. Tickets are on sale now - call 410-647-6100.

Cancun Cantina, Hanover

On New Year's Eve, Cancun Cantina will be hosting a Masquerade Ball - a festive evening of intrigue, mystery and fantasy. Tickets are on sale now for $30 per person or $40 per couple. Also, Country, Denim n Lace, The Deck and Stiff Richard will be entertaining. Call 410-761-6188.

On New Year's Eve, the Greene Turtle will be having happy hour from 3:00-10:00pm, with drink specials and half-priced appetizers. There will be live music from 9:00pm to closing, with a Champagne toast at midnight.

J.King's Restaurant, Gambrills

J.Kings, formerly Kauffmans, is hosting a New Year's Eve party with dinner, a DJ and dancing, Champagne toast at midnight, party favors and a breakfast buffet at 1:00am. Cost: $65/person or $100/couple. Make your reservations now by calling 410-923-2005. Tickets will be limited, so reserve ASAP.

Mother's Peninsula Grille, Arnold

Mother's is taking reservations now for their New Year's Eve party; call 410-975-5950. This event includes a four-course prix fix menu ($34.99). Options include: shrimp bisque, oysters Rockefeller, Filet, jumbo scallops, stuffed shrimp and more.

There will be no cover at the bar, and a Champagne toast at midnight. DJ zombeat will be entertaining the crowd. There will also be free party gear and give-aways.

Rams Head Center Stage, Hanover (Arundel Mills)

At 9:00pm on New Year's Eve, celebrate with music from Rollerblades. Buy your tickets now for $75 per person. Rollerblades is a 90s tribute band. There will also be an open bar, passed hors d'oeuvres and a Champagne toast at midnight. Phone: 443-842-7000.

Rams Head On Stage, Annapolis

New Year's Eve features The Return - Beatles Tribute Band at 6:45pm. For $114 plus tax and tip, you will get appetizers, gourmet buffet dinner, dessert, dancing and a night filled with your favorite Beatles hits performed by The Return - Beatles Tribute Band. Rams Head Roadhouse, Annapolis

On New Year's Eve, there will be a Mexican Fiesta happy hour, and a New Year's Eve party with a lobster special and lobster give-away. At 10:00pm The Shatners will perform live music. There will be drink specials from 9:00pm-1:30am and a complimentary beer toast at midnight. Phone: 410-849-8058.

Tall Oaks, Pasadena

Ring in the new year at Tall Oaks with great company and amazing food! Make your reservations now at 410-255-1438. Cost: $49.99 per person. Parties of six or more receive one dozen spiced shrimp free for an appetizer.

1st Course - Cream of Crab, French Onion, or Lobster Bisque. 

2nd Course - House Salad or Fresh Pear & Goat Cheese Salad with a champagne Cranberry Vinaigrette, or Caesar Salad. 

3rd Course - Choice of: Steak and Stuffed Lobster Tail – Served with gourmet mashed potatoes and vegetable medley; Seafood Imperial – Jumbo shrimp, scallops, and crab baked with imperial sauce served with rice pilaf and vegetable medley; 16oz Prime Rib – Served with loaded baked potato and vegetable medley; Caribbean Seared Ahi Tuna – Topped with a lemon butter sauce garnished with jumbo lump crabmeat; or Center Cut Pork Chop Dijon – Coated with a Dijon mustard and panko crumb topped with a rosemary butter sauce served with gourmet mashed potatoes and vegetable medley.

First Night Annapolis, City Dock:

The City of Annapolis has several events planned including fireworks, family activities, and late night dancing. The fun begins at 3:00pm, and lasts until midnight. Don't forget to dress warmly - Although the big tent is heated, it gets cold outside watching the fireworks and walking to a restaurant. Please make reservations if you plan on eating at any of the Annapolis restaurants.

The free parking available in the historic district only lasts two hours, so plan on parking in one of the four city garages and take the FREE circulator trolley. The garages are as follows:

Noah Hillman Parking Garage – 150 Gorman Street

Gotts Court Parking Garage – 25 Northwest Street

Knighton Parking Garage – 1A Colonial Avenue

Park Place - 5 Park Place

10:00pm: Radio City Band Dance the night away with Radio City. Join the fun as you listen to top hits from yesterday and today
Right before midnight: Countdown to the new year and more fireworks
