Local Top-Producing Real Estate Agent’s August Release Will Benefit AAMC

A home is where a family eats, sleeps and spends time together - but in addition to the emotional value of a house, the practical worth is just as great. A home is a person’s largest investment and greatest asset. For that reason, Severna Park native and nationally ranked real estate agent David Orso wanted to help people understand the residential real estate industry. His recently released book, “Step Inside: The Unfiltered Truth About Listing and Selling Your Home,” exposes the truth and provides insight into the intricacies of listing and selling a home.

A real estate agent since 2001, Orso explained that he understands the importance of working with knowledgeable professionals in dealing with such a huge financial transaction. “It is embarrassingly easy to become a real estate agent, even though it is a profession where you are dealing with most people’s largest financial asset,” he said. “It takes a lot of knowledge, skills, experience and competence to become a truly qualified, professional agent. I wanted consumers to understand what to look for in a real estate agent and how to protect their asset when they are ready to sell their home.”

The wide range of experiences Orso has gained over the years suit him well in providing that necessary insight for readers. An agent affiliated with Century 21 New Millennium and the recipient of numerous accolades and awards, Orso has a background in being an investor, running a large brokerage, managing a team of agents and being a nationally ranked top agent selling real estate. He has represented residents across the state, especially in Severna Park, Arnold and Annapolis. “Through my work and personal experiences, I have learned what it takes to be a true professional and how to successfully list and sell a home,” he highlighted.

Sitting down and putting those thoughts into writing was a new challenge for Orso, who said his busy schedule made it especially difficult, but he was pleased with the experience. “I am certain my book will help sellers and that is incredibly rewarding,” he said.

Orso dedicated the book to his wife, Dawn, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in January, and all proceeds will go to the Anne Arundel Medical Center (AAMC), where Orso serves on the Building Traditions Society’s board of directors and the pediatric council. “I have been involved with AAMC for years and they have been incredibly amazing with the care of my family’s medical needs,” he explained. “I want them to know that I appreciate their professionalism, expertise and genuine care.”

“Step Inside,” now available for purchase on Amazon, will tell readers how to find the best agent, what to do before listing their home, the keys to pricing their home, the roles of listing agents and the trade secrets of smoothly and successfully going from listed to sold.
