Severna Park Youth Wrestling Camp

Written by Colin Murphy | March 08, 2017

Severna Park wrestling will offer two evening camps this June for wrestlers of all ability levels in grades 1-8. The Takedown Camp will take place June 19-22 from 3:00pm-8:00pm and cost $175. The camp will help wrestlers better understand position, set-ups, counter offense and multiple attacks. Wrestlers will learn offensive takedowns, leg attacks, sweeps and upper-body holds. Defensive takedowns like front headlocks, snap and spins and counter offense will also be covered. The Top and Bottom Camp will take place the following week, from June 26-29 for $175. This camp will focus on learning how to turn/pin people and being able to escape from anyone. Wrestlers can register for both camps for a discounted rate of $300. To register or for further information, contact Severna Park wrestling coach Chad Vosburg at Coachvosburg@gmail.com.
