Press your suit, update and copy your resume, and make your portfolio shine for the Anne Arundel Community College Fall Job Fair on Thursday, Oct. 27, on the Arnold campus at 101 College Parkway. This 12:00pm-4:00pm event typically attracts more than 1,500 job seekers, and to date has 68 employers signed up for booths. These employers are seeking applicants for positions from entry-level to supervisory at the Fair in the David S. Jenkins Gymnasium. Some employers will conduct initial interviews on site at the booth; professional attire is strongly encouraged.

Broadneck High School will host the 29th Annual College Fair, and all high school students, friends, and parents are encouraged to attend. Students who are exploring options for their post-high school career can get a bevy of information at this event, which occurs on Wednesday, October 19, from 6:30-8:30pm, at 1265 Green Holly Drive, Annapolis.

More than 190 representatives of colleges, universities, technical schools, and the armed services will be on hand to provide information to students and their parents.

The fair is free and open to the public.

Come join your neighbors for the much anticipated Fall Festival at Severna Park United Methodist Church, 731 Benfield Road, Severna Park, on Sunday, October 23 from 12:00pm - 2:00pm. There will be a cookout, moon bounce, pumpkin painting, and much more!

While you're there, buy a pumpkin or two at the Pumpkin Patch and feel good because the money you spend will go to mission work of the church.

The SPHS Marching Band at last year's Tournament of Bands

What can you do for $3 these days? Buy a cup of coffee, rent half of a movie, or park in downtown Baltimore for a half hour?  How about this bargain: For only $3, you can come see the 33rd Annual Marching Band Exhibition, where more than 600 musicians from Anne Arundel County's 12 public high schools will showcase their skills! The event starts at 7:00pm on Thursday, October 20, at Severna Park High School. Each marching band and color guard will perform for 10 minutes. Severna Park High School will kick off the festivities with the National Anthem. You will be very glad you attended when you hear the fantastic music from some incredibly talented musicians!

Tickets will be available at the door.  Spread the word!
