AACCA Presents Wind Soloists Of New York
On Saturday, April 12, the Wind Soloists of New York will perform at Severna Park High School as part of the Anne Arundel Community Concert Associations 2011 season. The Wind Soloists of New York bring together the leading players from New York City to perform the major works for winds, including selections by Samuel Barber, Jean Francaix and Paul Hindemith, plus notable works for piano and wind quartets by Mozart, Poulenc and Beethoven.
The members of the Wind Soloists of New York on clarinet, flute, oboe, and bassoon have collectively performed with a wide variety of ensembles, such as the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, Boston Symphony, and at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center.
