Dr. and Mrs. Clayton S. McCarl Jr. of Millersville are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Warrington McCarl, to Rachid Thomas Harrison, son of Ms. Fatima Harrison and Mr. and Mrs. Peter Harrison of Shaker Heights, Ohio.

Miss McCarl graduated from Severn School and Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Science. She is currently a student at the University of Maryland Dental School earning a degree in Dental Hygiene.

Mr. Harrison is a graduate of Shaker Heights High School in Ohio and received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland University College. Mr. Harrison serves in the United States Air Force and is stationed in Washington, D.C. His previous assignments include England and a tour of duty in Iraq. He is pursuing a Masters Degree from Boston University.

The couple will be married in Nashville, Tennessee in June 2012. After a honeymoon in France, they will reside in Annapolis.
