Looking for a way to give back to those in need? The annual Katie Fritz Memorial Scholarship Gospel Concert will be held at St. Martin’s-in-the-Field Church at 375-A Benfield Road in Severna Park on Saturday, Feb.25, at 5:00pm. Gospel singers from Mt. Calvary United Methodist Church, among others, will be on-site to sing. The event is held annually and memorializes Katie Fritz, a parishioner who died suddenly at the age of 16 in 1993 from an undiagnosed heart anomaly. Her mother, Carol Fritz, began the scholarship fund in her daughter’s name.

St. Martin’s In-The-Field Day School Communications Director Cindy Barry explained how the fund has assisted so many students. “The fund has helped many students attend St. Martin’s-in-the-Field Day School. This is a joyous, wonderful evening of music. All are invited,” she said.
