Annapolis Idol Seeks Contestants |

Local performing artists who believe they have the personality and singing skills to be the Annapolis Idol are invited to try out at one of five auditions at Wild Willy’s in Annapolis, every Tuesday through Feb. 7. Performers should arrive by 7:30pm for registration, and auditions will begin at 8:00pm.
Between 10-12 finalists will be chosen to appear at the Annapolis Idol event, held at Wild Willy’s on March 4 from 5:00-9:00pm. Contestants will perform before a live audience of several hundred guests and a panel of local celebrity judges. Judges and audience votes will determine the 2012 Annapolis Idol.Contestants must be at least 21 years of age by the event date and must be able to perform a Top Forty/mainstream pop song live to music coordinated with the professional DJ. All contestants will be selected at the live auditions and finalists will be notified by email or phone by Feb. 23. Finalists must be available to appear at the March 4 event.

Annapolis Idol is a fund-raising event for the Anne Arundel Conflict Resolution Center, which aids in non-violent resolution of personal and community conflict by providing mediation, anger management training, and other services to prisoners, individuals and groups.
